Special education for special education teachers of exceptional gifted children: inventing the future
Abstract
We point out the need of forming special education teachers for children with very high IQ levels, as well as the causes for the lack of these type of professors in many western countries. S We also give an indication as to the qualities that a professional educator of this type must have, and the type of specific programs that are necessary for his formation. Finally, we briefly point out the ends or objectives that must be met by the special education of the very intelligent child, and the minimun characteristics that a professor of teachers of special education must necessarily have when working in this field, as seen from the psychological point of view. Keywords
