Online portfolio: A tool for the development and evaluation of competences in teacher training
Abstract
This article presents the experience of using a portfolio in initial teacher training as a tool for the development and evaluation of competences in Pedagogy students of the Faculty of Education of the Catholic University of Temuco. It describes the experience of implementing an online portfolio, an alternative to the paper portfolio, that permits the students to show varied experiences of their performance in diverse and authentic contexts, based on a constant reflexive process oriented by a set of criteria that shape the Standards of Performance for the Initial Formation of Teachers (Ministerio de Educación, 2001).Keywords
