Road education integration in an OCW course
Abstract
Based on the educational needs identified in the population about the main risk factors in driving, that cause many deaths, it is considered necessary to raise an open course, Open Course Ware of the National University of Distance Education (OCW-UNED, Spain) on «Road Education: harmful substances to driving», with the aim of exchanging knowledge and experience between participants, integrating applications and other communication of a social network to raise awareness and reduce risks to an issue of social concern. The paper shows the project’s point of view, the changes and adjustments carried out on the course as well as the main results. In this paper, the drivers and the barriers found in the process are also analyzed. Moreover, it will be discussed the potential of this type of integration in open applications uses.Keywords
