An example of distance learning in pre-school education: "Preescolar na casa"

Abstract

As a main principle one has to point that distance education applied to pre-school level is only appropriate under the form of “supervised” where a responsible adult performs the instructions issued from the programme. In Spain there is a good example of programme regarding supervised education: “Preescolar Na Casa”. Its general aims are: to make up for the lack of scholastic assistance to the children who live in rural areas, instructing a person that may substitute the professional educator, who belongs to the preschool level. As basic pedagogy, the means employed are those of the same commnunity; biginning with Galician language and starting from this fact, the psychomotor habits develop; of mathematical thought and introduction to reading-writing.
