The role of the family and the microcultural environment in integration processes

Abstract

The article deals with the importance of the familiar context in the child’s integration. First of all, it defines the concepts of development and integration in order to understand the relationship of both processes within educational practices. Then, it analyses the importance of the family during the child’s development, considering both the particularities of families, which may affect these educational practices, as well as individual differences, which are formed through the process of development. Finally, it observes the role of the family in the process of integration of their children, and it proposes a number of issues that would make easier the teachers’ task of responding the individual peculiarities of their students.
