Pros i contres de dirigir un departament universitari: anàlisi sistemàtica de literatura
Resum
Els departaments universitaris són òrgans intermedis estratègics, necessaris i rellevants entre els equips rectorals de govern i el personal docent i investigador. En aquest treball ens preguntem quines evidències científiques ofereix la investigació desenvolupada respecte a la direcció de departaments universitaris. El text està articulat al voltant de sis grans focus: aspectes facilitadors de la gestió, aspectes entorpidors, avantatges de ser director o directora, inconvenients, èxits aconseguits i fracassos. S’ha realitzat una anàlisi sistemàtica de 31 articles de la literatura científica publicada a la Web of Science i Scopus. Els resultats mostren factors facilitadors com ara la col·laboració i factors entorpidors com ara l’escassa autonomia; avantatges com ara sentir desafiaments constants i inconvenients com ara la implicació que requereix; èxits com ara impulsar noves idees i fracassos com ara la dificultat de canviar les cultures departamentals. Les conclusions revelen que cal centrar futurs estudis en l’examen dels reptes de les direccions departamentals i els èxits i les dificultats que apareixen per assolir-los, a fi de poder tenir una visió més completa dels pros i contres de les direccions de departament.
