The educational research in Spain: Contribution of M.I.D.E.’s area

Abstract

After a brief analysis of the difficulties of educational research in Spain derived from the “spontaneous” development of this activity, the author defends fitting the system to a “reconcile” model following the experience of other European countries. He describes the birth and evolution of the “Interuniversity Association of Pedagogical Research” (AIDIPE) considering it to be an important contribution to the future which awaits the approval of the “Law of Foment and General Coordination of scientific and Technical research”. His last reflections are devoted to the measures that the administration and the work teams should take for the development of educational research in the country.
