One of the best ways of understanding and studing the educational process is to conceive it as a communications system. In the case of the distance learning, this afirmation is even more evident, because the aim is to guarantee a bidirecction and different elements are used to substitute the physic presence of the teacher. The distance larning uses different strategies and resources to obtain a bidirecctional communication: telephone, mail, meetings, fax, computer networks . . . The evaluation is also a way of mantein this cornmunication. But, the learning matherials must facilitate an interaction whith the pupil. For this, is necessary to designe them with the basis of several principes: systemaism, motivation, autoactivity and autocontrol.
