The alleged reform of the humanities

Abstract

According to recent discussions in some political institutions about the Educational Reform (LOGSE), and specially about teaching humanities (classical languages and culture, philosophy, language and literature, social sciences, geography and history), it has been argued the need to analyze it, with the participation of members from all the Autonomous Comunities of Spain. The process followed is shown (comparative studies, different approaches, and attitudes), as well as the main agreements and suggestions to improve and to assure its teaching in the Secondary schooling (ESO) and the  Postmandatory (bachilleratos) periods. It has to be done without forgeting the diffe rent law fram ework of the Autonomous Communities, related to the globality of Spain and Europe.
