Which is the level or difficulty of teaching that is demanding in the implementation of the new educational system?
Abstract
The main goal of this research, supported by the Institut de Ciències de l’Educació of the University of Barcelona, is to mesure the difficulty demanded in the evaluation of contents in ESO (secondary education) in Catalonia. The degree of difficulty demanded in the traditional evaluational activities (tests, written and oral exams) excepting Music and Physical Education, has been analized in three different schools from Catalonia.
The second goal has been to investigate if there is agreement between the level of difficulty demanded in the evaluation and in the learning process. It has also been measured the difficulty of the learning activities that the teacher presents to the students. Consequently, the difficulty of textbooks in the new schooling system has been considered.
The third goal intends to know the image that students as well as teachers have of high level cognitive or comprehensive activities, and which methodologies are perceived as the most indicated to work with.
