The construction of the child moral judgment and cooperative school environment

Abstract

This article analyzes the influence of a democratic school environment in cooperation development and in children’s moral judgment development. In this way, we will present the results of some educational experiences and researches that took place in Brazil during the past seven years. It will show that children that develop a cooperative capacity of relationship with their peers, and attend democratic school environments, tend to develop a higher level of moral judgment autonomy.
