Abstract

The Learning Communities Project is defined as an educational alternative that drives the
transformation of situations of educational inequality towards situations where learning opportunities for everybody are generated. The applicability of this highly operational project leads, amongst other things, to the systematization of didactic methodologies that are capable of connecting the underlying theoretical principles to a series of strategic methodologies that guide the teaching-learning processes towards educational excellence. In this sense, «interactive groups» meet the demand to open the classroom to community participation —relatives, volunteers and others— in order to enhance the learning process in children.
