Initial training of teachers and psychoeducators in the education for coexistence
Abstract
The social and educational scene, the loss of «authority» and «resource» for parents and teachers, the very demands on teachers and discontinuous institutional initiatives do see the training needs for teachers and psychoeducationalist. After verifying that school learning is a personal and social construction is reasonable to rethink coexistence in schools and the type of curriculum. We argue for a coexistente curriculum that includes the social competence and the citizen competence in a specific subject, of integrated manner in the school. It then explains how not to be the training of teachers and psychoeducationalist and offers some general guidelines. The proposal for teacher and psychoeducationalist training at the University Jaume I is characterized by being experiential, open, practical, professional, committed, consistent, supervised and portfolio evaluation.
