Assessment of university teacher training programs
Abstract
The status of teacher training in Spain is very heterogeneous and do not settle just as strategic condition for teachers’ professional improvement and enriching the teaching-learning processes developed.
However, some of the universities with more weight and tradition in regard to teacher training have shown interest in conducting a systematic and comprehensive assessment of their programs to analyze their strengths and weaknesses and implement the appropriate adjustments. Other universities, which are still in early stages and aim to consolidate their own training strategies, ask for references that could guide its next steps. With this double aim, our working group took, as commissioned by ANECA, commitment to design a protocol that would allow it to complete the assessment of «Teacher Training Plans Spanish Universities»
