Training for School Supervisors in Mexico. Needs analysis

Abstract

The current paper shows the process and findings of two researches on the training needs of those supervisors who work in primary education or secondary education in four states of Mexico. It describes the theoretical framework and the research method employed, specifically, the case study: four cases of each educational stage. The instruments used to collect the data were in-depth interviews, discussion groups and reports made by experts. Likewise it presents the most significant findings related to the competences that are considered to be essential to gain in training programs.
