Fostering creativity through non-formal methodology
Abstract
If we consider as non-formal,, methodology that which is not submitted to time-space limitations of educational institutions, it is a valuable aid in providing and extending continuing education for adults. Non-formal communication systems which use distance communication means are, though, frequently accused of obstructing creativity, but often we find that it is the inability of teachers and programs to exploit the true possibilities of these means rather than these not being appropriate Under adequate conditions: the teachers attitude, taking advantage of communication possibilities, adapting to its aims, etc. , written texts, radio, TV and computers may communicate truely new aspects. It is convenient, though, to consider creativity as the ability to solve problems and not a capacity which only a few possess, as is frequently believed. Keywords
