The guidance department from the perspective of school organization
Abstract
An analisis of the Orientation Department from an organizational point of view is justified when we see the orientation task cease to be a one person job and become, more and more, the result of tearn work. The Department thus emerges as a cooperative organ of vertical coordination, whose actions are potentiated by educational teams. To consider the Department of Orientation (Guidance) as a staff organ helps to clarify some of its functions, and facilitates a posterior analisis of its internal organization and the problems that may arise from it: the different levels at which it can be introduced. Of particular importance is the study of available resources, especially human resources. A well balanced percentage of specialists and professors in'every centre, as well as the composition of the Department, will be subjects of fundamental importance. Keywords
