Portfolio as a tool to recognize the acquired competences by the volunteers of Fair Trade
Abstract
The practice of portfolio has a broad development in adult education and training. More specifically, it has been applied as a tool for recognition of the competence of adult acquired through non-formal learning. In these situations, the portfolio has proven its effectiveness in the synthesis of skills developed in the professional and social life, allowing an illuminating presentation, the result of a personal reflection, guided by a trainer and that it is in itself an educational experience. The article proposes two distinct portfolio models, according to its purpose, and presents the experience of a fair trade shop in Vilanova i la Geltrú (Barcelona), which has opted for the development of formative portfolio. Keywords
