Abstract

The reflections presented here respond to the objective of systematically and rigorously review the fundamental characteristics that define the process of social and professional integration of university graduates. This requires the fundamental characteristics of a labour market where globalization, technological change and new forms of work organization, among other criteria, have created new demands on graduates. We define those demands by focusing on the professional skills and the more required training. University, as an institution that should be in constant balance with society, must give a concrete response to social changes. In this regard, the needs and social demands should be present in the university proposals in such period of change of European and global convergence of higher education.
