Abstract

The aim of this research was to go into the role of high schools headmasters in Portugal. Thus, the research has rebuilt their professional and personal trajectories, has characterized the role they play in their duties, has identified their leadership characteristics and has evaluated the organizational impacts resulting from these factors and the influence of this wide variety of factors upon students’ outcomes.
